Why this site exists

Most parenting advice online is either vibes or generic numbers from 2017. Every tool here returns a number you can act on โ€” based on inputs specific to your family, your state, your insurance, your income.

I built this because I was spending 40 minutes trying to figure out what daycare would actually cost us relative to our take-home, and the top ten search results were either lead-gen funnels for financial advisors or blogs repeating a 2019 Care.com press release. So I built the calculator I wanted, then built 41 more.

The math is shown. The assumptions are written out. You can disagree with an input and change it. You can export the result as a PDF and show it to your partner, your pediatrician, or your accountant. None of it costs anything, none of it requires signup, and none of it is rage-bait disguised as parenting content.

Built by Andy Gaber. Not a CPA. Not a pediatrician. The tools are educational โ€” verify important numbers with the actual professional before you sign anything.
